SALINAS, Calif. – Oct. 8, 2013 – Mann Packing, a leading supplier of cleaned and ready-to-eat vegetables, will feature the company’s re-launched Veggie Mac- n-Cheese product portfolio at PMA Fresh Summit in New Orleans in booth #1019A and introduce two chopped salad kits.

Mann’s Veggie Mac-n-Cheese meal kits contain fresh broccoli, ready to heat fresh pasta and a delicious cheese sauce. Available in Classic Cheddar with Broccoli and Bacon Cheddar with Broccoli; each package contains three, one-cup servings. The product line is a finalist for a 2013 PMA Impact Award.

In addition, Mann will introduce two vegetable salad kits at PMA: Cantina Crunch Kit and Asian Citrus Crunch Kit.

“Anyone can cook like a pro with these vegetable kits because everything is included — just open the bag, pour in a bowl and toss the ingredients together,” said Gina Nucci, director of healthy culinary innovation. “We know moms and families are starved for time and looking for solutions that help get healthy meals on the table that the whole family will eat.”

Also at PMA, Mann will display two new gourmet whole head lettuces, Scarlett Butter™ and Honey Gem™, marketed specifically for foodservice customers.

The gourmet whole head lettuce varieties were introduced to the industry for the first time at the PMA Foodservice Conference in July where the company won the PMA sensory experience recipe contest with its recipe for Herbaceous Steak Salad made with Mann’s Arcadian Harvest Ruby® Blend lettuce.
