Mann Packing Company – Proud to be a Women Owned Business

Mann Packing is located in Salinas, California, a region often referred to as the “Salad Bowl of the World”.

Founded in 1939 by H.W. “Cy” Mann our organization has been family owned and operated for three generations. Today two families, the Nucci and Ramsey families, not only own but work within several areas of the organization. Over 65% of our shareholders are women. Our CEO is a woman and the majority of our board of directors are, also, women. Since 2012, we have carried this distinguished certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) , the most widely recognized and respected certification in the United States for women’s business enterprises.

“We are honored to receive this world class certification from the WBENC”, said Lorri Koster, Mann Packing Company shareholder, board chairman and CEO (not to mention Jack and Sam’s mom!). “This certification is nationally accepted by major corporations and select government entities. The process is rigorous, multi-faceted and thorough.”
WBENC certification ensures that applicants are 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or group of women. More than 700 companies and government agencies rely on WBENC certified companies as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs.

Koster continues, “This certification is particularly relevant because the main target audience for our fresh vegetable products are moms-just like us. It’s rewarding to provide healthy solutions for busy moms- we know what a juggle life can be!”
