Place bag on microwave safe dish. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes. (Because of differences in microwave ovens and altitude, heating times may vary.) Remove dish from microwave. Open bag carefully, vegetables will be hot and package will steam. Note: All Mann’s 10oz, 12oz & 16oz fresh-cut vegetable products are microwaveable right in the bag without poking holes in the bag. The 32oz & 48oz bags are not microwavable.
STOVE TOP COOKING:
Fill pan with approximately 1 inch of water and bring to a boil. Take Mann’s fresh-cut vegetables out of the bag (rinsing them isn’t necessary as they are pre-washed). Add vegetables to pan and cover. Steam 3-4 minutes until tender, yet crisp.
Preheat oven to 400°. Arrange Mann’s fresh-cut vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle vegetables lightly with extra virgin olive oil. Bake for 10 minutes, then turn vegetables over. Bake for an additional 10 minutes until crisp and browned. Note: For Sweet Potatoes, roast for 20 minutes, then turn over and roast for an additional 10 minutes.
You can freeze Mann’s fresh vegetables, however we recommend you blanch them first to avoid mushy, bad tasting veggies once thawed out. Following the blanching instructions below will best ensure the freshest, most vibrantly colored veggies after freezing.
Boil 2-6 cups of water (depending on bag size) in a large saucepan. Once at a boil, place vegetables into the water. Keep vegetables in the water for about 1 minute. Remove veggies and strain in a colander. Rinse under very cold water or immerse in ice water (this will stop the vegetables from cooking further).
Strain vegetables and pat dry with paper towels. Place into freezer safe container and use within the next 3 months for best quality.
